In anticipation of National Voter's Day, State Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr Vijay Kumar Jogdande convened a pivotal meeting on Tuesday to scrutinize preparations in Dehradun. The meeting, held at the Secretariat, included key figures such as Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Kishan Negi and City Magistrate Pratyush Singh.
Dr. Jogdande mandated the District Administration and the Public Works Department to carry out a meticulous site inspection and submit a detailed report. This directive underscores a concerted effort to ensure the successful execution of the upcoming celebrations.
Since its inception in 2011, National Voter's Day on January 25 commemorates the foundation of the Election Commission of India, aiming to boost voter enrolment and awareness. The 2025 celebration marks its 15th year, signifying continued efforts to encourage electoral participation nationwide.
