The All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) has renewed its call for a 5-day work week and urgent recruitment at public sector banks to solve staffing shortages.

In a statement released Thursday, AIBOC highlighted the dire impact of the shortage, which forces officers to perform non-primary duties and exposes them to rising violent attacks.

Expressing concern over physical risk and coercion, AIBOC urged the Department of Financial Services to act quickly, warning of organizational action if unsatisfied.
