On the 150th birth anniversary of the esteemed tribal leader Birsa Munda, considered a deity by his community, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will engage in an e-interaction with beneficiaries of the 'Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan - PM Janman.' This virtual meeting, taking place from Jamui in Bihar, was announced by the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office.
The nationwide 'Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan' will also be launched as part of the celebrations. Tomorrow, November 15, state-level festivities will occur at Ahwa in Dang, chaired by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The event will feature participation from ministers, Members of Parliament, and Legislative Assembly members, honoring tribal heritage with guests like Tribal Development Minister Dr. Kuberbhai Dindor and Dang MLA Vijay Patel.
The event serves a dual purpose: raising awareness of governmental schemes for tribal benefit and honoring Birsa Munda, a trailblazing revolutionary. Declared 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas' in 2021 by PM Modi, the day commemorates Munda's significant contributions to the tribal community and ensures continued outreach of government initiatives to remote areas.
