The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced that it will hold its preliminary examination in a single day, as confirmed by the Chief Minister's Office on Thursday. This decision follows sustained protests by aspirants in Prayagraj, frustrated by the previous multi-day exam schedule.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath responded to the students' demands and directed the Commission to engage with candidates on the PCS Preliminary Examination 2024 format. A dedicated committee has been appointed by the Commission to evaluate the RO/ARO Preliminary Examination 2023 and will submit its report shortly.
Despite the cancellation of the RO/ARO exam, students insist on receiving official confirmation, vowing to continue their protest until an online notice is published. Meanwhile, Prayagraj authorities, along with UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar, engaged with protesting aspirants who demand exams be limited to a single shift.
