On Wednesday, the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) confirmed the appointment of Vamsi Ramamohan Burra as the new Director of Projects. Burra, who holds an engineering degree and a postgraduate diploma in Management, brings over 30 years of industry experience to the role.
The appointment, approved by the board during a recent meeting, sets Burra's tenure for five years from the start date or until further orders. A regulatory filing affirmed he holds no current prohibitions against occupying his new office.
Burra was previously the CEO of POWERGRID Teleservices Limited and was serving as the Officer on Special Duty (Projects) before this appointment. His experience encompasses significant achievements in both the power and telecom sectors.
