On Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered prayers at Badrinath Dham, hoping for statewide prosperity. As the pilgrimage nears completion, Dhami noted that devotees continue to visit in considerable numbers from across the nation.

CM Dhami highlighted a consistent rise in pilgrim turnout over the past few years and projected record numbers in future, backed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inspiring initiatives. Efforts are underway to expedite the master plan, aiming to enhance the pilgrimage experience annually.

A Yatra Authority is in the pipeline to streamline travel across the Dhams. Meanwhile, local stakeholders, including Tirtha Purohits and the Hotel Association, shared positive feedback on the yatra's management. Dhami also gathered insights from pilgrims on travel arrangements.

The iconic Badrinath Dham will shut its doors for winter on November 17. The closure rituals, starting November 13, involve various ceremonies, concluding with the temple closure. Key figures, including BKTC President Ajendra Ajay, will oversee the traditional proceedings.

On subsequent days, temples like Adi Kedareshwar and Shankaracharya will close, while special pujas mark their way to winter abodes. Notably, on November 19, Adi Guru Shankaracharya's throne will reach Joshimath's Shri Nrisinha Temple, marking the commencement of winter worship activities there.
