In a significant move under the 'Ease of Living' initiative, Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched a pioneering single-window online portal dedicated to easing the grievance filing process for electricity consumers. This platform empowers users to file complaints with the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) seamlessly from any location.
Previously reliant on traditional methods like letters or in-person visits, consumers can now leverage this digital facility to lodge grievances related to power distribution issues, thereby enhancing transparency and efficiency. This innovation aligns with the GERC (CGRF & Ombudsman) Regulation of 2019, underscoring the state's commitment to continuous, quality power supply and superior customer service.
The portal provides amenities such as e-filing, application tracking, and online orders designed to simplify and expedite the complaint resolution process. Consumers can access this service at cgrf.guvnl.com and are further supported by various communication channels like 24x7 toll-free helplines, mobile apps, and web chat, distinguished by their swift response to user needs.
