In a groundbreaking move to bolster the role of women in national security, the Ministry of Home Affairs has sanctioned the formation of the first all-women battalion of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). This significant step forwards aims to empower women and elevate their contributions in this crucial field.
According to CISF Deputy Inspector General Deepak Verma, preparations are already in motion to commence the recruitment and training of women for this new battalion. The specialized training designed for these recruits will focus on equipping them with the skills to perform diverse roles, such as providing VIP security and overseeing security operations for the Delhi Metro.
This initiative aligns with directives from the Union Home Minister, announced during the recent 53rd CISF Day celebration, highlighting the commitment to increasing female representation in the armed forces.
