Gujarat's Agricultural Boost: Empowering Farmers Through MSP and Support Initiatives

On Monday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel initiated the state-wide procurement drive for soybean, urad, and moong at the minimum support price during a function in Himmatnagar, Sabarkantha district.
According to an official release, under the Price Support Scheme (PSS), purchases will be conducted over a span of 90 days across more than 160 centers, ensuring fair prices for farmers' produce.
Over 3.70 lakh farmers have already enrolled in this scheme. During his address, Patel stressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's enduring support for farmers, highlighting numerous welfare initiatives like accessible irrigation, ample electricity, and encouragement towards natural farming to boost agricultural growth in Gujarat.
