UNNATI 2024: Catalyzing Industrial Growth in Tripura

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha recently participated in the State-Level Workshop of the Uttar Poorav Transformative Industrialisation Scheme, known as UNNATI 2024. The event, held at the Pragna Bhaban in Agartala, was organized by the state's Department of Industries and Commerce in cooperation with India's Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
During his address, Chief Minister Saha emphasized the importance of the northeastern region's development alongside the rest of India, as envisioned by Prime Minister Modi. Highlighting the UNNATI scheme's goals, he revealed that 83,000 jobs are expected to be created over the next decade with a budget of Rs 10,037 crores. Tripura has been designated as category B, with a minimum investment requirement of 1 crore to receive incentives.
The workshop underscored the need for increased investment to propel Tripura's progress. CM Saha expressed optimism that potential investors will recognize the opportunities available. The event included inputs from key officials such as Vishwasree B., Director of Industries and Commerce, and Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce, both of whom stressed collaborative efforts between state and central entities to ensure industrial advancement.
