In a noteworthy development, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized the importance of the South Asian Telecommunication Regulators Council's (SATRC) 25th conference being hosted in Delhi. The gathering, which runs from November 11 to 13, aims to bring together telecom regulators from across South Asia to discuss regulatory strategies.
Addressing reporters in Delhi, Minister Scindia underscored South Asia's pivotal role in telecom technology adoption. 'Hosting the SATRC 25 conference in New Delhi offers a platform for regulators to converge and ideate on regulatory matters benefiting stakeholders from telecom to internet and satellite service providers,' he stated.
The conference is poised to set a new agenda for the next two years, according to Scindia. Highlighting the broader context, he noted the strengthening Indo-US relations under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, emphasizing the partnership's significance beyond economic realms, with a nod towards continued growth under President-elect Donald Trump. Hosted by India's Telecom Regulatory Authority, the conference will feature hybrid participation, facilitated both in-person and online via the Zoom platform.
