Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reassured farmers on Saturday about the availability of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) fertilizer, urging them to ignore misleading rumors. He affirmed the state government's commitment to supply adequate fertilizer amid allegations by Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala about shortages blamed on the central government.
Saini disclosed that Haryana currently has a stock of 23,118 metric tonnes of DAP, with an additional 9,172 metric tonnes expected in the coming days, ensuring continuous distribution aligns with last year's demand. He negated claims of scarcity, asserting that current supplies surpass last year's consumption figures.
The chief minister further elaborated on the state's interventions to support commission agents and rice millers. The government increased commission rates and provided bonuses, addressing concerns such as the paddy's hybrid out-turn ratio and ensuring timely payments for procured crops worth over Rs 11,296 crore.
