NTPC has entered into a strategic pact with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL) to collaboratively own and manage the Chhabra Thermal Power Plant in Rajasthan.

The joint venture agreement was finalized on Monday, as revealed in a regulatory announcement by NTPC, marking a significant step for both entities.

Chhabra's facility, boasting a capacity of 2,320 MW, will see a 50:50 partnership. While NTPC will appoint the CEO, CFO, and COO, both parties retain equal rights to nominate directors, with NTPC holding key management control.
