In a commendable display of swift action, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) of Uttarakhand successfully rescued a man trapped inside a vehicle on Friday. The incident occurred near Narendranagar in the Tehri district when a vehicle veered off the Ranipokhari bypass road, plunging into a ditch.
The SDRF was alerted by the District Control Room in Tehri that the accident involved two individuals. One occupant managed to escape unaided, while the other remained trapped. Responding with urgency, the SDRF team extricated the trapped individual and promptly transported him to a hospital for essential treatment.
The individuals were identified as Vivek Uniyal, age 30, and Shevtang Uniyal, age 25, both of whom reside in Narendranagar. Their timely rescue underscores the SDRF's vital role in emergency response situations.
