Devender Singh Rana, an influential figure in Jammu and Kashmir politics and a sitting MLA from Nagrota, passed away at the age of 59 on Thursday night. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders paid their respects, highlighting Rana's unwavering dedication to the development of Jammu and Kashmir.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Rana's death as an irreplaceable loss to the BJP family. Shah lauded Rana's significant contributions to the peace and progress of Jammu and Kashmir. Rana was a pivotal figure in recent elections, securing victory in his Nagrota constituency.
