In a tragic altercation over two pieces of bread, a factory worker in Delhi's Bawana area lost his life on October 29. The deceased, identified as Ram Parkash, was allegedly pushed to his death by a fellow worker, Aslam, according to local police.
Police reports detail that Ram Parkash and another worker, Deepak, were decorating the factory premises in preparation for Diwali. The incident ensued when Aslam, who was on the roof of a neighboring factory, asked Parkash for two rotis. Upon being refused and advised to purchase his own, Aslam allegedly shoved Parkash, resulting in the latter falling from the fourth floor.
Following the incident, Ram Parkash was rushed to MV Hospital Pooth Khurd, where he was declared dead on arrival. Eyewitness accounts from other workers enabled authorities to apprehend Aslam, who initially fled the scene. A formal case has been registered against him as investigations continue.
