In a bid to cater to increased travel demand during the festive seasons of Diwali and Chhath, the Indian Railways is deploying 164 special trains on October 30th. This move aims to ensure passengers reach their destinations on time, with routes spanning from major cities like Secundrabad and Ahmedabad to regional hubs in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Dilip Kumar, the Railway Board's Information and Publicity Executive Director, informed ANI that these special services are part of a broader initiative to run an additional 7,000 trips nationwide. Extensive arrangements are being made to accommodate the influx of passengers, including continuous station monitoring by teams of officers and the Railway Police Force.
To further enhance convenience, Indian Railways is setting up holding areas at key stations to mitigate overcrowding. These areas will provide seating and rest options for travelers. The enhancements reflect a commitment to a seamless travel experience during this significant period, which includes the celebration of Diwali, a festival symbolizing light over darkness.
