In a decisive breakthrough, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir successfully neutralized three terrorists during a high-stakes encounter on Tuesday. This operation, carried out in Akhnoor's Battal village, was following an alert from terrorists' attack on an army convoy. The J-K Police's bomb disposal squad quickly diffused explosives found at the site.
The operation, spearheaded by the Indian Army's White Knight Corps and utilizing unmanned vehicles and artificial intelligence, resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the slain terrorists. Tragically, Phantom, a Belgian Malinois from the army's canine unit, lost his life, yet his sacrifice saved many others.
Senior officials, including Major General Sameer Shrivastava, emphasized the effective coordination between the army and Jammu and Kashmir police, underscoring the ongoing rise in operational synergy. Furthermore, representatives affirmed that the incident was part of a broader, relentless anti-terror campaign to secure the region against escalating threats.
