On Tuesday, Wall Street opened on a downward trend, influenced by investors' analysis of varied corporate earnings alongside anticipation of Alphabet's financial results.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 177.91 points, or 0.42%, settling at 42,209.66, as concerns about rising U.S. Treasury yields exerted pressure on equities.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 saw a modest drop of 7.34 points, or 0.13%, opening at 5,816.18. In contrast, the Nasdaq Composite index inched up by 8.9 points, or 0.05%, reaching 18,576.088 at the start of trading.
