Tragedy Strikes Patna Metro Construction; Probe Initiated

In a tragic incident near the Patna Metro construction site, two workers have lost their lives, and six others sustained injuries, officials confirmed late Monday night. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha described the incident as unfortunate and emphasized that a probe is already in progress.
Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minister Nitin Nabin stated that the state government has mandated the Patna District Magistrate and metro administrators to carry out a detailed inquiry. Nabin said, "We need to understand the technical failures that led to this mishap. A report will be furnished soon, guiding any subsequent measures."
According to Abdul Halim, Station House Officer at Pirbahore Thana, the fatal accident occurred due to a mechanical malfunction inside the tunnel. It is reported the affected workers hail from Odisha, further underscoring the tragic scope of the event.
