Tamil Nadu Congress General Secretary Saravanan has called on Chief Minister MK Stalin to allocate Cabinet positions to Congress and other DMK alliance partners. Saravanan emphasized that his request reflects the wishes of Congress party workers who seek proper representation in the state's governance structure.
Saravanan pointed to remarks by actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party chief, Vijay, who advocated for sharing power with potential allies upon winning an election. Saravanan underscored the Congress's absence from power in Tamil Nadu since 1967, urging the DMK to include its allies in the State Cabinet.
Despite the DMK's majority in the Assembly, Saravanan believes it's crucial to distribute Cabinet berths among alliance partners. He highlighted similar practices in states like Jharkhand. Concurrently, Tamil Nadu Law Minister S Regupathy criticized Vijay's recent TVK rally, portraying it as mere spectacle rather than substantive political discourse.
