As the Maharashtra Assembly election approaches, Ajit Pawar's NCP released its fourth candidate list on Tuesday, featuring Devendra Bhuyar for the Morshi Constituency and Shankar Mandekar for Bhor. The nomination filing deadline coincided with this announcement, paving the way for the November 20 election across all 288 seats.
The electorate eagerly awaits November 23 for the election results, as per the Chief Election Officer's office, which reported a substantial 4,426 nominations from 3,259 candidates by October 28. Concurrently, the Model Code of Conduct has been effective since October 15, following the October 22 election notification.
In parallel, the Congress declared a list of six candidates for Maharashtra and Jharkhand on Monday, with Madhurimaraje Malojiraje Chhatrapati and others representing the party in Maharashtra. Aligning with the Maha Vikas Aghadi, the Congress has now unveiled candidates for 102 seats, while Shiv Sena and NCP persist in their own candidate selections.
High tensions are noted in the Mumbadevi constituency, where BJP's Shaina NC, now with Shiv Sena, is contesting against Mahayuti-backed Milind Deora. Maharashtra's electoral landscape remains dynamic, with significant face-offs anticipated in various constituencies.
