In a celebratory message on Ayurveda Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the enduring significance of this ancient medicinal system in promoting global health. His remarks, shared on X, underscored Ayurveda's rising international recognition, exemplified on Lord Dhanvantari's birth anniversary, which coincides with the observance.

As part of the Dhanvantari Jayanti and 9th Ayurveda Day celebrations, PM Modi is slated to inaugurate substantial health sector projects worth approximately Rs 12,850 crore at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in New Delhi. The Ministry of Ayush will oversee an event at the AIIA to mark the occasion.

The focus on innovation is pivotal this year, with active participation from startups and industry leaders in the celebrations. This highlights Ayurveda's role in global health advancements. Dr. Manoj Nesari of the Ministry of Ayush emphasized the theme 'Ayurveda Innovation for Global Health,' noting its aim to showcase extensive research affirming Ayurveda's scientific merit in disease treatment and health promotion.
