Newly elected Congress MLA and Olympian Vinesh Phogat made an appearance at the Haryana Assembly on Friday, stating that she would fully embrace her role after taking the official oath. Phogat highlighted her commitment to represent the people who voted for her by initiating her advocacy work the moment she steps inside the assembly.

Aditya Surjewala, another newly elected Congress MLA, expressed intentions to prioritize farmer issues within the assembly, emphasizing Haryana's agriculture-centric economy. He underscored the importance of providing Minimum Support Prices to farmers to prevent financial distress.

Congress MLA Bhupinder Singh Hooda raised concerns over the designation of 'Acting Speaker,' arguing it undermines the traditional 'Pro-tem Speaker.' In response, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini referenced past instances during the Congress regime where the title was used. Saini also announced the approval of 12 proposals for enhanced road connectivity, following a review meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
