The terrorist attack on a military vehicle in Baramulla has drawn strong condemnation from Jammu and Kashmir's Former Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta. He labeled the assault, which claimed the lives of two Indian soldiers and two civilian porters, as "very unfortunate" and "a cowardly act."

Gupta acknowledged the complexities in tackling Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, while praising the government's 'zero tolerance' stance. He urged citizens to remain vigilant, especially against Over Ground Workers (OGWs). His comments came amid continued search operations by security forces in Baramulla, where clashes between the Indian Army and terrorists erupted.

Further escalating tensions, another attack unfolded on October 24 when terrorists shot and injured a laborer, Pritam Singh, in Pulwama district. This violence follows a fatal attack on October 20 at a tunnel construction site in Ganderbal district, in which a doctor and six construction workers were killed.
