Akasa Air activated its emergency protocols after receiving security threats targeting specific flights scheduled for Thursday. The airline's response teams are closely coordinating with local authorities to adhere to all required safety and security procedures, according to an Akasa Air spokesperson.

Some flights operating on October 24, 2024, faced security alerts, prompting emergency response efforts. Akasa Air's teams are in constant contact with security and regulatory bodies, aiming to maintain passenger safety and comfort. Goa International Airport and Manohar International Airport in Goa were also under high alert after bomb threats targeted four aircraft heading to these facilities. The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was set up at both airports to evaluate the threats.

Earlier in the week, Indian airlines reported over 50 bomb threats, affecting both domestic and international flights. Major carriers such as IndiGo, Vistara, and Akasa Air confirmed the threats. IndiGo reported security alerts for 11 flights, while Akasa Air affirmed its adherence to safety protocols. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu assured no-fly restrictions for the perpetrators, with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security and the Ministry of Home Affairs actively monitoring the situation. Security agencies are working to identify those responsible for the bomb threat messages.
