Tragedy Strikes: IIT Delhi Student's Untimely Death
A second-year MSc student at IIT Delhi was found dead in his hostel room, purportedly by suicide. The 21-year-old from Jharkhand was undergoing psychiatric treatment. His friends discovered the body after breaking into the room. Police investigations are ongoing, and no suicide note was found.

In a heart-wrenching incident at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, a 21-year-old second-year MSc student was reportedly found dead, suspected of taking his own life. The young man, originally from Deoghar, Jharkhand, was discovered hanging in his hostel room, according to Delhi police.
Authorities revealed that the tragic discovery was made when the student's friends, along with IIT staff, broke a window to access the room after it was found locked from inside. A medical report showed the student was undergoing psychiatric treatment, with his next appointment set for October 29. Unfortunately, no suicide note was recovered from the scene.
Medical personnel at Safdarjung Hospital confirmed the student was brought in already deceased via college ambulance, and his body has been placed in the mortuary. The bereaved parents have been notified. A mobile crime team examined the room, and police have gathered testimonies from the deceased's friends. Investigations are advancing under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita. (ANI)
