Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing campaign to make roads pothole-free at his residence on Wednesday morning. He received detailed updates from officials on the progress achieved so far. Sources revealed that during the session, the Chief Minister insisted on stringent measures against those failing to adhere to road repair deadlines.

Emphasizing the need for prioritized road repairs, Dhami seeks to ensure safe and smooth traffic flow for the public. With the Deepotsav festivities approaching, he encouraged officials to boost the use of local products among residents. This initiative aims to support local entrepreneurs and artisans, in line with the 'Vocal for Local' and 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat' initiatives, highlighting the potential boost to the local economy through self-reliance.

Additionally, the Chief Minister ordered that the State Foundation Day be marked as the Devbhoomi Silver Festival, with a structured plan for various events unveiled at a meeting at his residence, according to an official release. Celebrations will feature the inauguration of the Uttarakhand Bhawan in Delhi on November 6, the Uttarakhand Pravasi Sammelan in Dehradun on November 7, followed by State Foundation Day on November 9, and events related to the Devbhoomi Silver Festival: Uttarakhand Silver Story, extending until November 12. Dhami tasked relevant officials with ensuring participation from Uttarakhand locals, migrants, and key community segments during the festival, underscoring Uttarakhand's advancement across various sectors. From November 6 to 12, he called for different community groups to participate in engaging activities throughout the festival.
