Jammu and Kashmir's newly sworn-in Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, visited Manjakote on Monday to express condolences to Thannamandi MLA Muzaffer Iqbal Khan following the recent death of Khan's mother. Abdullah's visit reinforced the significance of unity and empathy within the community during times of personal loss.

In his first public gesture since taking office, Abdullah emphasized his commitment to minimal public disruption, instructing police to avoid creating 'green corridors' during his road movements. This approach symbolizes Abdullah's focus on maintaining a people-friendly governance style.
