On Police Commemoration Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his government's commitment to enforcing law and order, asserting that instilling fear among criminals remains a top priority. Speaking at an event in Lucknow, he highlighted efforts to enhance police efficiency and resources, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards crime.
Adityanath credited his administration's crackdown on crime, citing the arrest of over 900 criminals under the Gangster Act and the seizure of illicit assets worth billions. Paying tribute to the martyred police personnel, he underscored their sacrifices as an inspiration for dedication and duty in law enforcement.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, supporting the sentiments, acknowledged the sacrifices of police officers and vowed to eradicate terrorism and drug trafficking. Shah pointed to the success in Jammu and Kashmir as evidence of progress, while nationwide tributes marked the occasion, including in Vijayawada and Mumbai.
