In a significant development, Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has laid the foundation stone for a crucial link road extending from Tara Devi Bypass to Matholi in Gram Panchayat Keonthal, Shimla. This move, aimed at addressing long-standing demands from locals, is set to benefit residents of Gram Panchayat Keonthal and neighboring villages. Minister Singh has mandated that the concerned department expedite the tender process for the 1.5-kilometer road within a 20-day timeframe.
Following the ceremony, Minister Singh conducted a public meeting under the 'Mantri Aapke Dwar Karyakram' at Village Matholi, engaging with citizens and addressing their grievances. He assured attendees that their concerns would be swiftly addressed, and legitimate demands met, accompanied by former MLAs Chiranjiv Lal Kashyap and Sohan Lal.
Elsewhere, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced the state's initiative to host the 32nd Himachal Pradesh Children's Science Congress in 2024, an event dedicated to fostering scientific awareness among the youth. The Congress, themed 'Traditional Knowledge Systems and Modern Science,' reflects the government's resolve to blend age-old wisdom with the advancement of modern science. (ANI)
