Amid rising tensions, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) State Chief spokesperson Bala Swamy has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Telangana government over alleged police action against protestors. The demonstrators were rallying outside the Secunderabad temple following its vandalism, prompting a crackdown by law enforcement.

Bala Swamy criticized the Telangana police for not taking immediate action against those responsible for the act, labeling the perpetrator a 'terrorist.' The protest, which saw a significant turnout at the Shri Muthyalamma Devi Temple in Hyderabad, was triggered by perceived inaction by the authorities.

Hyderabad has recently witnessed two incidents of idol vandalization, stirring strong responses from BJP and religious groups. While the first incident at a Durga idol is considered accidental, the second one involving Muthyalamma's temple has led to demands for a comprehensive investigation, with BJP leaders urging an NIA probe.
