Varanasi is gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit this Sunday, marking a significant boost in local development projects estimated at Rs 1,300 crore. Heavy security measures are in place to ensure a smooth event as the Prime Minister lays the foundation stone for these ambitious initiatives.

Local residents express excitement over the Prime Minister's initiatives, particularly the inauguration of the Varanasi Sports Complex. Swapna Vishwakarma highlighted the project's potential to fulfill local children's dreams and elevate aspiring athletes to the Olympics. Rajnish, another resident, praised the PM's consistent focus on Varanasi's growth.

Vishwakarma emphasized the sports complex's pivotal role in advancing athletes' accomplishments, with Varanasi Divisional Commissioner, Kaushal Raj Sharma, noting Modi's foundation-laying for 23 city projects. The PM will inaugurate Phases 2 and 3 of the complex's redevelopment worth Rs 210 crore under 'Khelo India' and the Smart City Mission.

Modi's visit extends beyond sports, with the unveiling of airport projects worth over Rs 6,100 crore, including the RJ Sankara Eye Hospital's inauguration. New terminal buildings across several airports aim to enhance annual passenger handling capacity, showcasing designs inspired by regional heritage. These projects signify a major uplift for Varanasi's infrastructure and growth.
