In a fiery outburst, Independent MP from Bihar's Purnia, Pappu Yadav, criticized Jan Suraaj party chief Prashant Kishor for alleged ignorance about Bihar's socio-political landscape. Yadav accused Kishor of forming a core team of retired officials and lacking genuine understanding of local issues.
Yadav's comments came amid Kishor's controversial stance on ending prohibition on alcohol in Bihar, which he announced on Gandhi Jayanti, simultaneously launching his political party. Yadav condemned Kishor's timing, questioning his commitment to addressing urgent local issues like corruption and disaster management.
Despite criticism, Kishor has promised to revoke the liquor ban if elected, a promise that has sparked further debate. Meanwhile, Kishor has fielded candidates for the upcoming by-elections in Bihar, as political activity intensifies with voting scheduled across multiple states.
