Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended the 64th Foundation Day celebration of the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital on Monday, underscoring the institution's critical role in advancing medical education and healthcare services in the state. The event was held at the KLS Auditorium in Agartala.

In his speech, CM Saha emphasized the government's commitment to enhancing medical infrastructure and making healthcare more accessible to all residents. He acknowledged the historical significance of the hospital and its ongoing contribution to providing quality healthcare in the region.

A landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), worth Rs 34.46 crore, was signed between the State Government and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) for constructing a three-storied building on the hospital premises. The agreement signifies a substantial investment in the hospital's infrastructure, highlighting the government's focus on healthcare development. Chief Minister Saha lauded the medical staff's dedication and expressed gratitude for their service to the community.

The foundation day celebrations also featured various programs, showcasing the hospital's achievements and contributions over the years.
