The Maharashtra Cabinet has taken significant steps to improve compensation for educators in Madrasas, with enhanced monthly salaries for D.Ed. and B.Ed. teachers. The decision elevates D.Ed. teachers' pay from Rs 6,000 to Rs 16,000 and B.Ed. teachers handling secondary subjects from Rs 8,000 to Rs 18,000.

In a separate resolution, the Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, urged the Central Government to honor late veteran industrialist Ratan Tata with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award. Tata, who passed away aged 86, made indelible contributions to India's industrial landscape.

The Cabinet meeting also turned into a moment of reflection as tributes were paid to the Padma Vibhushan honoree, Ratan Tata. Attendees at his funeral included family members and close associates. His life and work continue to serve as a shining beacon of philanthropy and industrial progress.
