Zarin Daruwala, the Chief Executive Officer for India and South Asia at Standard Chartered, is set to retire at the conclusion of the fiscal year 2025. A seasoned banker, Daruwala joined the foreign bank in 2016.

Under her guidance, India emerged as one of the largest markets for the lender, particularly due to her focus on cross-border solutions in corporate and investment banking, as well as priorities in wealth and retail banking.

Her strategic efforts are credited with cultivating a robust risk and compliance culture within the organization. Daruwala, who joined Standard Chartered from ICICI Bank, where she led corporate credit, will turn 60 in February.
