The Kremlin has issued a serious accusation against Ukrainian authorities, claiming that Kyiv is "playing with fire" following an incident near the Kursk nuclear plant.
On Thursday, Russian forces reported intercepting a Ukrainian drone near the plant, and some news outlets indicated a fire had broken out not far from the location.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the incident would be brought to the attention of representatives from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations' nuclear watchdog. Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi has denied any Ukrainian attacks in the area.
