A shocking crime unfolded in Lucknow's Chinhat police station area where Bharat Kumar, a Flipkart delivery boy, was brutally murdered for an iPhone. His body was discovered stuffed in a gunny sack and dumped in Indira Nagar. The police have taken a customer, Akash, into custody in connection with the crime.
DCP East Shashank Singh revealed that when Bharat failed to return home, his brother lodged a missing person's FIR. The investigation involving CCTV footage and surveillance data led the police to suspect foul play. Evidence pointed towards Akash, who has confessed to the crime, implicating his friend Gajanan in the murder. The body was discarded in a canal, and recovery efforts by the police and SDRF are ongoing.
Bharat Kumar had been a delivery boy for eight years. His brother, Prem Kumar, reported that Bharat left home to pick up goods for Flipkart but never returned. The family is demanding justice, urging the police to ensure that the culprits receive strict punishment. "My only demand is that the police should give such a punishment that serves as a lesson to them," Prem Kumar stated.
