The company plans to build significant battery pack assembly and manufacturing lines by 2025 and 2027, respectively, partnering with a leading technology provider to achieve this.

Jindal India Renewable Energy, part of the BC Jindal Group, on Wednesday announced its foray into the battery energy storage systems (BESS) space.

The company revealed plans to establish a 1 GWh battery pack assembly line utilizing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry by 2025 and aims to enter the battery cell manufacturing sector with a 5 GWh capacity by 2027.

In pursuit of its goals, Jindal India Renewable Energy will collaborate with a world-class technology provider, underscoring India's commitment to becoming a global leader in renewable energy. The announcement aligns with national policies aimed at fostering a greener future.
