Jindal India Renewable Energy, part of the BC Jindal Group, on Wednesday announced its foray into the battery energy storage systems (BESS) space.
The company revealed plans to establish a 1 GWh battery pack assembly line utilizing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry by 2025 and aims to enter the battery cell manufacturing sector with a 5 GWh capacity by 2027.
In pursuit of its goals, Jindal India Renewable Energy will collaborate with a world-class technology provider, underscoring India's commitment to becoming a global leader in renewable energy. The announcement aligns with national policies aimed at fostering a greener future.
