In a significant push towards enhancing regional connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off six Vande Bharat trains from Tatanagar during his visit to Jharkhand on Sunday at 10 am. Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for various railway projects valued at over INR 660 crores and will distribute sanction letters to 20,000 beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).

Through a post on platform X, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to Jharkhand's rapid development. 'We are determined to accelerate the development of Jharkhand. At 10 am today, I will have the privilege of flagging off six Vande Bharat trains at Tatanagar, along with laying foundation stones and inaugurating several other projects. Moreover, I will participate in the program related to PMAY-G beneficiaries,' PM Modi stated.

The newly flagged off Vande Bharat trains will enhance connectivity on key routes including Tatanagar-Patna, Bhagalpur-Dumka-Howrah, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Gaya-Howrah, Deoghar-Varanasi, and Rourkela-Howrah. These trains aim to boost religious tourism by providing faster commutes to pilgrimage sites such as Baidyanath Dham, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kalighat, and Belur Math.

PM Modi will also lay the foundation stones for the Madhupur Bypass line in Deoghar and the Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot in Hazaribag district. Once completed, the Madhupur Bypass line will reduce train detention on the Howrah-Delhi mainline and decrease travel time between Giridih and Jasidih. The Hazaribag Town Coaching Depot will facilitate the maintenance of coaching stocks. Furthermore, the Kurkura-Kanaroan doubling project, part of the Bondamunda-Ranchi single line section, will enhance goods and passenger traffic mobility.

In his engagement, Prime Minister Modi will distribute sanction letters to 20,000 PMAY-G beneficiaries from Jharkhand, releasing the first installment of financial assistance. He will also join the Griha Pravesh celebrations of 46,000 beneficiaries, marking a significant milestone in the government's ongoing housing initiative. (ANI)
