Jitendra J Jadhav Takes Helm as Director General of ADA

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has endorsed Jitendra J Jadhav, a seasoned scientist, for the post of Director General at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), effective from September 11, 2024. Jadhav, who has been with ADA since 1999, has extensive experience in combat aircraft development.
Jadhav led the Initial Operational Clearance (IOC) of Tejas-LCA and its induction into the Indian Air Force in 2013, pioneering its weaponization. In 2022, he was appointed Director & Programme Director (Combat Aircraft), overseeing several milestones, including the Military Type Certification of Series Production Trainer (SPT) aircraft and maiden flights of various prototypes.
Under his tenure at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, he revived the SARAS project and advanced self-reliant aerospace technologies. His recognition includes multiple prestigious awards and fellowships. As Director General, Jadhav aims to enhance ADA's growth, focusing on the first flight of LCA AF Mk2, AMCA rollout, and policy reforms towards AI/ML integration in future aircraft projects.
