Bharti Airtel Shares Surge as Market Hits Record Highs

Shares of Bharti Airtel jumped over 4 percent on Thursday, becoming the top gainer among the 30 Sensex stocks. The rally helped drive the BSE Sensex to a record high of 83,116.19 points. Bharti Airtel also signed a pact with Sparkle to enhance connectivity between Asia and Europe.

Shares of Bharti Airtel surged by over 4 percent on Thursday, emerging as the top gainer among the 30 Sensex stocks.

The stock climbed 4.36 percent to settle at Rs 1,646.50 on the BSE, reaching a record peak of Rs 1,652.65 during the day. At the NSE, it soared 4.37 percent to Rs 1,646.75.

The sharp rally in Bharti Airtel stocks contributed significantly to driving the markets to new heights. The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 1,593.03 points (1.95 percent) to hit its lifetime intra-day peak of 83,116.19, closing at a record high of 82,962.71, up by 1,439.55 points (1.77 percent). The NSE Nifty also saw a substantial gain, rising 470.45 points (1.89 percent) to settle at a record closing high of 25,388.90.

In trading volume terms, 1.31 lakh shares of Bharti Airtel were traded at the BSE and 122.04 lakh shares at the NSE. Additionally, Airtel Business, the B2B arm of Bharti Airtel, signed a pact with Sparkle, an Italy-based global operator, to enhance connectivity between Asia and Europe through the Blue-Raman Submarine Cable Systems.
