BJP candidate Jagmohan Anand from Karnal Assembly Constituency officially filed his nomination on Thursday for the Haryana Assembly elections. The nomination was submitted in the presence of Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Anand will face Congress candidate Sumita Virk.

Union Minister Khattar, who accompanied Anand, expressed strong confidence in BJP's potential victory, predicting another term for the party in Haryana. 'Jagmohan Anand has filed his nomination from Karnal. If tasked, I'll support other candidates in their nomination efforts. It promises to be a compelling contest, but I am confident BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third term,' Khattar asserted. He also mentioned that top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, will campaign in the state.

This filing follows the BJP's recent release of its third list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections. Notable names include Rohtash Jangra from Sirsa and Kanwar Singh Yadav from Mahendragarh, presenting a diverse and strong lineup against various Congress nominations. Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly is set for October 5, with results expected on October 8.
