Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Goshamahal Raja Singh Lodh has appealed to the Hyderabad Commissioner of Police to bolster security measures for the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan procession on September 17.

In his letter, the MLA emphasized the need for strict actions against any disruptive behaviors that could jeopardize the peaceful conduct of the festival. He expressed concern over individuals engaging in inappropriate activities, such as alcohol consumption and harassment, particularly targeting women.

The MLA urged immediate intervention to preserve the festival's spiritual and cultural essence, ensuring the safety and dignity of all participants. The Ganesh Visarjan is a significant Hindu festival in Hyderabad, involving grand processions toward Tank Bund.
