Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Durgesh Pathak was granted bail by the Delhi Court in the Delhi Excise Policy Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case. Pathak asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to dismantle the party through 'false cases,' a strategy allegedly ongoing for the last two to three years.
Pathak highlighted the absence of substantive proof in the case, citing the order copy. He remarked that history would note the attempts to finish a party focused on improving schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. Earlier today, the Rouse Avenue court granted bail to Pathak and others involved in the case.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who attended the hearing via video conference from Tihar jail, had his judicial custody extended until September 25. The court had summoned Pathak and other accused who had been charge-sheeted without arrest. Special judge Kaveri Baweja granted bail to Pathak on a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh.
