Equity mutual funds witnessed remarkable growth in August, drawing in Rs 38,239 crore, primarily driven by strong contributions from New Fund Offerings (NFOs) and thematic funds.

This figure is about 3.3 per cent higher than July's net inflows of Rs 37,113 crore, making it the second-highest flow ever recorded in a month, coming in just behind June's Rs 40,608 crore.

Data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) revealed that this marks the 42nd consecutive month of net inflows in equity funds. SIP contributions also reached an all-time high of Rs 23,547 crore in August, highlighting an investor shift towards disciplined, long-term wealth accumulation.
