Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed his gratitude on Monday to organizations and individuals who contributed to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, aimed at supporting those affected by the recent floods in the state. Contributions came from various sectors, including banks, social organizations, and other groups.

Amid the floods' devastation, financial aid has been flowing into the relief fund daily, illustrating a robust humanitarian response. Significant donations included Rs 13,48,089 from the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association, Rs 10,00,000 from the Forest Department staff, and Rs 15,00,000 from the Tripura State Cooperative Bank, among others.

Since August 19, continuous rainfall and floods have claimed 31 lives and displaced over 72,000 people in Tripura. The State Relief, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department has set up 492 relief camps, providing shelter and distributing clothing to the affected. Community support continues to be vital in these trying times.
