In a significant move to bolster strategic ties, India and the United Arab Emirates on Monday inked four major pacts, focusing on crude oil storage, long-term LNG supply, and civil nuclear energy collaboration. This development comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi held extensive talks with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), discussions between the two leaders underscored the exploration of untapped potential in areas such as nuclear energy, critical minerals, green hydrogen, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technologies.

Key agreements include the long-term supply of one million metric tonnes of LNG per annum to the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and a pact enhancing cooperation in the civil nuclear sector. Additional pacts were signed for crude oil production concessions and the establishment of food parks in India.
