Tata Power announced on Monday the installation of 50,000 electric vehicle home chargers across India since April last year. Additionally, over 500 charging points for electric buses have been established in metropolitan areas, significantly boosting the nation's electric vehicle charging infrastructure and facilitating quicker adoption of e-mobility.

Since 2018, Tata Power has set up a total of one lakh EV chargers, including over 1,100 chargers for electric buses in the past five years. These chargers are distributed across remote corners of India, providing a seamless and reliable charging experience for users at convenient locations.

Tata Power's dedication to enhancing EV charging infrastructure through public, semi-public, and home chargers highlights its commitment to environmental responsibility and supports India's transition to cleaner transportation. The company boasts a growing network of over 5,600 Radio Frequency Identification enabled public and captive charge points strategically placed in malls, hotels, hospitals, offices, residential societies, and highways, all monitored by a Network Operations Centre in Mumbai.
